Hazeltine National
Golf Club is a golf club located in Chaska, Minnesota. It is a
private club and therefore closed to guests not accompanied by a
member. The course opened in 1962 with Robert Trent Jones as the
course architect. Because of the harsh winter climate in
Minnesota, the course is open only from about April 1 to about
November 1, and is closed on Mondays. The current president of
the club is Tim Rainey.

Bethpage State Park Black Course
| The 2009 US
Open Championship golf tournament promises to be an
exhilarating test of pure skill as the current US Open
Championship, Tiger Woods, defends the 2008 title he won in
a sudden death match. The world's top golf pros will be
forced to play accurate drives down the pinched narrow
fairways and avoid the “open roughs” before lining up their
pitches and putts.

golf courses including the world-renowned Black Course,
the site of the U.S. Open Championship in 2002 and the
U.S. Open Championship in 2009. Famed golf course
architect A.W. Tillinghast designed and oversaw
construction of three golf courses there (Black, Red and
Blue) and modified the Lenox Hills Course, now called
the Green Course. The Yellow Course was designed by

2008 US Master
Winner: Trevor Immelman followed in the illustrious
footsteps of Gary Player by becoming only the second
South African winner of the Masters Tournament at
Augusta National. The 28 year old completed a
wire-to-wire victory with a final round of 75 for a
three stroke triumph over World Number One, Tiger Woods.
Immelman, who finished at 8-under 280, started the week
by playing a practice round with his boyhood idol, Gary
Player, who won his third Masters in 1978 and set a
record by playing for the 51st time.
Immelman handled the wind and pressure of Augusta
National far better than anyone chasing him Sunday to
win The Masters, the first South African in a green
jacket in 30 years.
