Mayakoba, together with officials of the PGA TOUR, announced that Mexico’s Only PGA TOUR Event will move to November as the event joins the new fall portion of the PGA TOUR FedExCup schedule. The next edition of the tournament is slated for the week of Nov. 6-12, 2018.

Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun is a PGA Tour golf tournament since 2007. Playa del Carmen, Mexico has been playing host to the Mayakoba Golf Classic. The golf tournament operated by the PGA Tour is known as the first PGA Tour held outside the United States and regarded as the Tour's finest.

Not without a cause, The Mayakoba Golf Classic is dedicated to benefit and raise awareness for several of the Tour's selected charities. Among these beneficiaries are Golf PARa Todos, City of Joy, Lorena Ochoa Foundation, Rotary Club of Cancun, Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen, Red Cross of Playa del Carmen, and the Mexican Caribbean Golf Courses Association.

El Camaleón Golf Club at the Mayakoba resort is located 35 miles south of Cancun and is Greg Norman’s latest masterpiece. The 7,039-yard layout is unique – not just to México but to the entire world of golf. The course bends through three distinct landscapes – tropical jungle, dense mangroves, and oceanfront stretches of sand with holes bisected by massive limestone canals.

While the course is amazing, the surrounding golf amenities are equally as stunning. Many of the golfers bring their families with them to enjoy the event. There is an impressive Mayan – influenced clubhouse rising above the 18th green, and the resort has a unique canal system where golfers can step out of their rooms and into a boat, which will ferry them to the first tee.
